How about trying these memory-enhancing smoothies? Memory is intimately linked to our diet and proper nutrition.
There are numerous studies that demonstrate the need for our brain of certain natural components that allow it to train, to be able to mature without losing the faculty of memory and concentration over time.
For this reason, both the foods we eat and the lifestyle we lead are fundamental.
It is known, for example, that children who do not receive proper nutrition have a slowed development up to three years younger than their biological age.
Or again, that a diet in which saturated fats prevail increases the production of certain beta-amyloid proteins that favor the onset of Alzheimer’s. Thus, it is essential to pay attention to the foods we eat every day and commit to increasing the consumption of foods whose composition is essential for good neuronal functioning.
To all this, we must add healthy habits, in which curiosity, interest in learning, and taking on new projects are always present.
Today we invite you to make some smoothies to improve memory.
Which foods are bad for memory?
- Saturated fats and fatty acids: directly affect our vascular and brain health. We must keep this in mind.
- White sugars: they are responsible for states of nervousness and hyperactivity, which are absolutely not helpful if you want to stabilize memory and concentration.
- Alcohol: it seriously deteriorates our nervous system, we find it hard to concentrate and we stop establishing neuronal connections, which are essential for fixing memories in memory.
Proteins: in particular those derived from red meat and aged cheeses, as they produce tryptophan and serotonin, exerting a negative exciting action on the nervous system.
Some tips for the brain and memory
- Never forget to have breakfast. States of hypoglycemia, for example, are very negative to reach any kind of concentration. We must start the day with the fundamental nutrients capable of providing our brain with sufficient energy: remember that, even if it represents only 2% of our body, the brain alone needs about 20% of our energy.
- Practice sports or gentle gym exercises.
- Rest, sleep at least eight hours a day. The brain needs quiet and rests to fix experiences and memories.
